Aaron Burden kicked off the Cawlidge Cawncept series a few months ago, and he’s back again, this time with Stanford University. He writes:
It probably would have made sense to use the school’s actual custom font, but how it meshes with their classic block “S” has never sat right with me. Instead, I leaned harder into tradition and opted for a standard, college block font in a diagonal Rangers style. After looking at it for some time, I decided to also include their tree on the front. The asymmetric outcome from the addition breaks up a look that was stagnant, but also gives a platform to a symbol of the school that isn't used as much.
