Backward to Go Forward

Alan Waldron takes us on a bit of a journey with his Pittsburgh Penguins concept today. He writes:

The Pens have been doing a lot of going backward lately, so I wanted to do a new spin on the Robo-Penguin in an effort to move them forward. I am not a Robo-Penguin hater—I actually think it's a great logo that was simply introduced in the absolute worst way possible—and I think there's plenty of room for it in the current Penguins brand. The striping pattern is intended to complement the logo, and it’s not that dissimilar from the original concepts from my old employer, Vance Wright Adams. Diagonal striping on the arms is always a feature of any good Pens jersey IMO which also helps set them apart from the Bruins.
